Welcome to the FSNM Essentials – Communication for Managers course enrolment page

This course equips food service and nutrition managers with the skills to communicate clearly and confidently in a variety of professional settings. Through practical activities and real-world scenarios, you will explore key communication concepts, including active listening, barriers to communication, and adapting communication styles to different situations.

You will develop strategies for conducting productive meetings, managing conflict, and navigating challenging conversations. The role of non-verbal communication, ensuring messages are clear and professional, and fostering inclusive and respectful dialogue are also covered in this course.

To round the course out, the use of communication technology in the workplace to create professional documents, presentations, and reports is also included.

This course includes the following units:

  • Communication and Specific Situations
  • Business Communication and Technology
